Ms. Gelareh Raoufi is currently a Ph.D. student at Wayne State University (WSU) majoring in Learning Design and Technology. She received her Bachelor's degree in Fabrics and Fashion Design from Azad University in Tehran, Iran. She practiced fashion design in Tehran for about two years and continued her family business as a publisher for around nine years. In 2008, she published an article on contributing factors in apparel selection in teenagers in an Iranian magazine called "Textile Today," which was accompanied by her speech about this subject in the first biennale of Iranian Fabric and Fashion Designers, which took place in the Museum of Contemporary Arts. She received the gold reward for her publication. After coming to the United States, Ms. Raoufi obtained her Master of Apparel, Textile, and Merchandising from Eastern Michigan University. During her studies in the master’s program, she worked as a full-time Graduate Assistant (GA) and Teacher Assistant (TA) for two professors at EMU. Ms. Raoufi achieved multiple scholarships including Dean’s office, Women Walking West, Student Success Story, Outstanding Student, Leadership ESL, and International Success Student. Ms. Raoufi was admitted to the Learning Design and Technology (LDT) program at WSU in September 2018. While studying at WSU, Ms. Raoufi obtained various research experiences in STEM education. In the current academic year, Ms. Raoufi is a student research assistant at the Trends and Issues in Computer Science Education: Data Mining from Twitter, where she is conducting research and helping the center with data gathering and analysis. 

Ms. Raoufi joined the TRUST program in Winter 2021.

La Srta. Gelareh Raoufi es actualmente estudiante de doctorado en Wayne State University (WSU), con especialización en Diseño y Tecnología del Aprendizaje. Recibió su bachillerato en Telas y Diseño de Moda de la Universidad Azad en Teherán, Irán. Practicó el diseño de moda en Teherán durante unos dos años y continuó con su negocio familiar como editora durante unos nueve años. En 2008, publicó un artículo sobre los factores que contribuyen a la selección de ropa en adolescentes en una revista iraní llamada "Textile Today", que fue acompañado por su discurso sobre este tema en la primera bienal de la Iranian Fabric and Fashion Designers, que tuvo lugar en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo.
